What is Safely & Why Is It a Benefit for Owners?

Safely provides coverage for property damage, bodily injury, and damage to contents. Safely's coverage is independent from homeowners insurance, and claim activity will not affect premiums. Safely policies cover the owner, Gather, the guest, and any vendors associated with the reservation. 

Is My Property Eligible for Safely Coverage?

Safely coverage is automatically included for units under the following contract types: 

  • Exclusive Property Management Agreements
  • Exclusive Booking Agreements 

Safely coverage may be included under the following contract types, dependent on the selections made on Schedule A:

  • Non-Exclusive Vacation Rental Marketing Agreements

Safely coverage is not included under the following contract types:

  • Estate Management Agreements

Who Covers the Cost of Safely?

The costs associated with Safely’s accidental damage and insurance program are funded by Gather’s Service Fee, charged to guests once per reservation. Costs are determined by the policy limit assigned and are tiered based upon the length of stay of the reservation in question.

Safely Policy Limits & Assignment Criteria 

Safely policy limits are assigned as part of the property onboarding process according to a variety of factors including, but not limited to the: 

  • Type of contract executed
  • Unit’s average daily rate (ADR)
  • Selections on supplemental contract documentation
  • Additional terms agreed upon via an amendment / addendum
